Not relying on your local Wi-Fi network for monitoring your baby has significant benefits. Sure some parents like to connect to the video stream from work or away from home. In my opinion, for them, these WIFI monitors would be better.

Mounting: How to mount my Eufy baby monitor?

Everything you need to set up Eufy in your baby’s room is included in the package. You have a corner wall mount (and 2 mounting screws) and a crib mounting bracket. The camera itself also has a mounting kit attached to it if you prefer to set it up on the wall.

These are the 5 easy steps for mounting the camera on the wall:

Step 1: Use the camera to check if the spot you’ve chosen has the best view and angle.

Step 2: Mark the spots where the screws should go.

Step 3: Drill a half-an-inch hole on the marked spots and put in the anchors for the screws.

Step 4: Place the wall mount accordingly and then secure it by putting in the screws.

Step 5: Put the Eufy Spaceview camera on the wall mount.

The crib mount is simpler to set up. Attach the camera on the bracket that looks like a clamp, and tighten the apparatus until it grips the crib rail securely. For your baby’s safety, only use the crib mount with the monitor fully charged. Having cables near your baby is a serious threat. Cables within your baby’s reach that are connected to power sources should scare you.

These tools are firm hardware, so as long as they are installed properly, they should not cause you to worry.

Extra cams: Can you add additional cameras to EUFY?

You can connect up to 4 extra cameras to your parent unit, and set up is just as simple as pairing the first camera.

What could be better?

The Eufy is not perfect! Let go over what could be improved.

No low-battery or out-of-range alerts: Probably, the major downside of this monitor is the absence of warnings to notify parents when the battery about to run out or if the signal has been lost.

No visual indicator for the noise level: Other monitors have a series of lights or a vibration mode indicating the level of noise produced in the room. This feature is particularly useful for deaf parents or simply to use the monitor while watching Netflix.

Large display: I love the large screen; however, it’s too large to fit in my back pocket.

Kickstand: The monitor has a kickstand that’s too small to be truly useful. You’ll have to hold the monitor with one hand while you press the buttons with the other.

Durability: According to some Amazon reviewers, the kickstand and the antenna did not survive the abuse in their child’s hands. However, Eufy customer service was quick to replace the broken monitor.

No recording: Because this video baby monitor is not internet-connected, you can’t record clips of your sleeping angel to share with grandparents or friends.
